Occupation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If salary doesn\u2019t separate 190 and\u00a0491\u00a0grants, then what does influence salary patterns?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Occupation cluster.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We grouped professions into broad clusters (to keep patterns readable), such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Business \/ Accounting<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ICT<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Engineering<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Health<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Education<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trades<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And we compared salary patterns across these groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>For Many Other Occupations, Salary Became a Key \u201cStrength Signal\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For occupations outside those priority groups, our internal dataset suggests invitations were influenced by multiple factors together, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Salary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skilled partner\u00a0(and their profile)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English language strength<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Years of experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education \/ qualification relevance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other nomination-alignment factors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And in those cases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Applicants earning $100,000+ were often prioritised for VIC 190 \u2013 along with other strengths<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on our dataset observations, salary above\u00a0<strong>$100k<\/strong>\u00a0was one of the factors that often aligned with stronger outcomes for\u00a0<strong>190 nomination<\/strong>, when paired with other competitive factors listed above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important: this does&nbsp;<strong>not&nbsp;<\/strong>mean \u201c$100k guarantees 190\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salary was one of the signals used when Victoria was selecting among many eligible applicants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>The \u201cReference Salary\u201d in Our Dataset: Business &amp;
