The Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300) is granted to individuals who are engaged and intend to marry an Australian citizen,  Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.

This visa allows the applicant to travel to Australia, marry their fiancé(e), and then apply for the Partner Visa (Subclass 820 and 801) from within Australia.

As a sponsor, you must also take responsibility for:

  • Providing support to your fiancé(e) during their stay

  • Meeting sponsorship obligations under Australian migration law

Family Members

You may include dependent children or stepchildren in your application.
