Engineering

Courses offered:

Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Telecommunications):

This is a 3-year full-time course approved by TEQSA under the Higher Education Framework. The degree is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) at Level 7.

Upon completion, students may be able to find employment as Telecommunications Engineer, Network Engineer, Telecommunication Network Designer, Network Manager, or other related roles.

The course also includes full-time Industry Experience of eight weeks (full-time), which helps international students gain real-world Australian experience in technical environments. This hands-on experience comes in handy while seeking future employment either at home or overseas.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Year 12/equivalent completed
  • The student needs to have an overall score of 6.0 in IELTS (or equivalent) (with no band score less than 5.5).

Master of Engineering (Telecommunications):

This is a two-year postgraduate course. Like the related Bachelor’s course, it is approved by TEQSA. The degree is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework at Level 9. After finishing the course, students may be able to work in leadership roles in fields like administration, engineering services, telecommunications management and more.

The course has a WIL component (Work-integrated Learning) that allows students to put their learnings to use at real workplaces. MIT is known for its strong partnerships within the industry, allowing students access to potential employers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering related to Telecommunications or Networks
  • The qualification must be recognised by the Australian Government
  • The student needs to have an overall score of 6.0 in IELTS (or equivalent) (with no band score less than 5.5)

Business

Courses Offered:

Bachelor of Business (Major in Management/Accounting/Marketing/Digital Marketing):

MIT offers the Bachelor of Business program for International Students with four specialisations to choose from. Students can opt to major in Management, Accounting, Marketing, or Digital Marketing. It is a three-year program approved by TEQSA under the Higher Education Standards Framework. The final degree awarded is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework at Level 9.

If you are interested in pursuing this program with a major in Accounting, then you would become eligible to apply for the Associate Membership of CPA Australia and IPA.

The Bachelor of Business (Accounting) program is accredited by CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) Australia, ICAA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia) and IPA (Institute of Public Accountants). Further, after completing the course, students become eligible for the CPA program of CPA Australia and the CA program of ICAA.

Speaking of the Bachelor of Business program as a whole, after the completion of the course, students may be able to find employment in:

  • Management as General Manager, Operations Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Business Analyst and other related roles
  • Accounting as Graduate Accountant, Credit Controller, Credit Analyst, Financial Analyst, and more associated professions
  • Marketing as Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, Communication Manager, Advertising Assistant, Advertising Manager, Public Relations Manager, and various other roles
  • Digital Marketing as Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing Campaign Analyst, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Manager, Social Media Marketing Specialist and other roles

The Bachelor of Business program includes a mandatory industry-based project that students have to undertake. This ensures that the learning received at MIT is holistic and that it provides industry knowledge and experience so that by the end of the program, students are truly ready for the workplace–whether in Australia or overseas
