About QIBA

IT Program

The ACS (IT) Professional Year is an initiative by the Department of Home Affairs. It is designed for international graduates who possess an Australian IT degree. It provides a pathway to employment in Australia.

Program Inclusions

Work readiness program of 44 weeks including classroom training of 32 weeks.

ACS online course for IT students to commence in the 30th week.

12 week internship at an Australian host company.

Internships

Includes 240 hours over a period of 12 weeks. Interns are required to be actively part of internship with 3 days per week for the total duration of 12 weeks.

Commencement of internship can happen at any stage during the program, but it should not happen any later than the 30th week of the Professional Year Program.

Valid skill assessment from a relevant professional authority body.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor or Master degree in IT from an Australian university as a result of at least 2 years of study.
485 temporary graduate visa/Bridging Visa A or B
Proof of English proficiency: IELTS, PTE, TOEFL or OET. Minimum overall score of 50 in PTE with nothing less than 50 across all bands.
